Where is G-Rack produced?

G-Rack's corporate headquarters are located in Kiel, Germany. Every G-Rack element is assembled here at our headquarters on the beautiful Baltic Sea, packed and shipped to almost every country in the world.

How sustainable is G-Rack?

The possibility to change size, function or design at any time is not only easy on the wallet, but also on the environment.

Lightweight construction

The consistent modular and lightweight design allows space-saving transport in small vehicles instead of large trucks. G-Rack bars are up to 60% lighter than conventional bars made of steel or wood and thus reduce fuel consumption during transport.

Lifetime

Instead of welding or adhesive constructions, we rely on screwed, clamped and plug-in fastenings for all connections of our components. In case of repair, even the smallest components such as individual aluminum tubes can be replaced.

Should a single component be scratched or damaged during transport or work, you can reorder it from us at any time and with short delivery time.

The service life of your G-Rack bars is not really limited in terms of time and is therefore a worthwhile investment in the long term.

Recycling

Although the raw material extraction of aluminum is problematic and the primary production entails high energy requirements, aluminum, on the other hand, can be recycled very well with little energy input.

At the end of its service life, G-Rack components can be very easily disassembled and separated into easily recyclable raw materials.

Around 60% of the aluminum components we use already come from recycling, and we are continuing to work on increasing this proportion.

Product development

Behind G-Rack is an innovative team with roots in exhibition stand construction, bar catering, design and production. Based on our many years of experience, we have developed system components and accessories to meet almost all needs in the event sector.

Our goal is the simple and flexible provision of efficient workstations. You like our system, but you need special equipment or accessories that we currently do not have in our standard range? Tell us about your idea. We have the technical capabilities to make almost any wish come true.

Can you test our bars and back walls?

We regularly present our bars at events such as the BarConvent Berlin, the Lisbon Barshow, the Bar Symposium Cologne and others. If you would like to be informed about upcoming events, subscribe to our newsletter and never miss any news again.

We have also set up a showroom for tours at our headquarters in Kiel and cordially invite you to visit us. In addition to coffee, nice conversations and a product presentation, we will be happy to show you around the company where we develop, produce, pack and ship mobile bars.

We can proudly say that our mobile bars are now being used in 35 countries.

If you would like to visit us, please contact us directly.

Is G-Rack suitable for outdoor use?

Absolutely! The G-Rack bar system consists of robust aluminum frames, HPL countertops as well as stainless steel parts. Our bars and buffets are thus ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

Resupply guarantee

Starting with the day of the delivery of your products, we guarantee subsequent deliveries - apart from changes relating to raw materials - for a period of 10 years. This gives you a very high level of investment security compared to other suppliers and allows you to use G-Rack bars for many years.

System

What is the difference between G-Flexx and G-Raxx?

To create a mobile bar, you need base frames that serve as a foundation and hold all other components such as our worktops, equipment and cladding parts.

We distinguish here between foldable (G-Flexx) and rigid, non-foldable (G-Raxx) base frames. All frame types can be combined with each other and equipped with the same accessories.

The choice of a base frame depends on the needs of the company. For example, how much storage space and transport volume is available?

Help with assembly

In the following we have linked two documents from our download area. Here, with the help of pictures, it is explained step-by-step how the setup works and what you should pay attention to.

If something doesn't work as planned, just contact us directly.

Do you really not need any tools?

Instead of welded or glued constructions, we at G-Rack rely on hook-in mechanisms as well as screw and clamp fastenings for all connections.

All wing or knurled screws are held in the aluminum tubes by a lock nut. So nothing gets lost and best of all, you don't need any tools for assembly or disassembly.

Do the accessories fit all basic frame types?

With the exception of the sliding door set, any accessory can be attached to G-Raxx and G-Flexx base frames.

Can you create a backbar with G-Raxx and G-Flexx?

Absolutely!

A huge advantage of G-Rack is its modular, building-block design. To create a back buffet with storage, simply mount a back frame instead of the bartop and place the unit behind you.

The back frame forms the basis for holding a back frame cover, which can then be enhanced with shelves, monitors, branding or lighting elements. In combination with backframe bases instead of a base frame, it is also very easy to create free-standing backwalls.

Can you build a mobile bar with a corner or as a U-shape?

With a corner construction set, you can create an L-shaped bar in just a few steps, regardless of the basic racks used. By using several corner construction sets, U-shapes or even 360° bars with a G-Rack are possible.

Discover system parts

How long does it take to set up and dismantle?

The construction of a bar depends on different factors. For example, do you transport a bar in individual parts, packed in bags or without bags and in a flight case? In the following presentation you will find different transport solutions and information about the setup times with G-Rack.

How big is a G-Rack bar?

G-Rack grows with its tasks and there are few limits.

60 cm! This is the defining number in G-Rack, which allows a wide range of applications. Bars, buffets and back panels can be increased or decreased in steps of 60 cm or 120 cm practically infinitely.

All accessories have been designed with the same dimensions. This makes it possible to change the equipment at any time and thus adapt it to any workflow.

Customizing

Which parts can be changed?

We can make changes to almost any component. Dimensions, materials, shapes...the list is very long here.

The easiest way to match the available budget with the possibilities is a personal consultation. Tell us about your ideas so we can give you a quick assessment of feasibility.

Design options

What is meant by "development work"?

Development work becomes necessary if your desired design cannot be completely reproduced with our standardized components.

Our specialists for design and graphics become active at this point and develop completely new designs and components in close consultation with you. These will be constructed according to your ideas and then produced in our metal and wood workshops in Kiel.

This is how unique bars and back walls are created! Just have a look at our gallery and get inspired.

Delivery & Shipping

Delivery times

All standard parts in our range are usually in stock and ready for dispatch within a few days of receipt of payment. For branding elements such as front signs, banners or parts in special colours, we need 2 to 3 weeks from receipt of payment.

For special designs, the delivery time is always dependent on the respective effort.

For deliveries abroad, this period may be delayed by several days in addition to the production time, depending on the distance and customs clearance.

It is helpful for our production planning if you can provide us with a latest delivery date along with your request. With this information, we can directly check internally whether a timely delivery of your bar is possible.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are based on the packaging volume and weight of an order and depend on the destination of the shipment.

Once we have reviewed your request, we will provide you with a quote that includes shipping costs as a separate item.

Shipping methods

Depending on the size of your order and the girth of individual parts, we ship your order with DB Schenker, direct courier or UPS.

In urgent cases, e.g. if you discover at a trade fair that you are missing individual parts, we will be happy to arrange an overnight express for you.

If your delivery will be shipped on a pallet and you would like to receive it on a certain day and/or with avis, please inform us when placing your order and name a contact person on site who our suppliers may contact for further coordination. We will then set up a premium shipment for you.

Alternatively, we would be happy to invite you to our factory in Kiel. You can also pick up your order directly from us. We will be happy to give you a tour of our factory, including an insight into the workshops and our showroom. Coffee is of course also available 🙂.

What should be known about the delivery?

Upon delivery, you should immediately check the goods for integrity and completeness. Damaged packaging, scratches or other defects must be noted on the delivery note, documented with photos and reported to us in writing within 72 hours. You can find more information on this topic in our General Terms and Conditions of Business and Delivery.

General terms and conditions

Delivery to third countries (What to consider?)

For deliveries to third countries, an import customs declaration must always be submitted by the recipient of the goods, regardless of whether a customs duty must be paid.

How does this work?

We first send a commercial invoice in triplicate, a movement certificate and the released customs declaration to the responsible supplier/forwarder.

Before the goods are shipped, you must then submit an import customs declaration. To do this, simply visit the website of the customs office responsible in your country and fill out the required document for the import customs declaration.

For the customs declaration you will need the so-called commodity tariff number or customs tariff number (both terms refer to the same number). The commodity tariff number consists of the 6-digit HS code and 2 additional digits for more precise classification.

You will receive the 6-digit HS code from us. To find out the last 2 digits, you can use the following link: https://trade.ec.europa.eu/access-to-markets/en/home

After you have entered the HS code, Germany as the exporting country and your importing country, a list will appear in which you can see the complete commodity tariff number, which you then enter in your import customs declaration.

Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Troubleshooting

The bar does not stand straight

Cobblestones, tiles, wooden floors, a meadow - there are many reasons why the installation site of your mobile bar does not have the perfect conditions. Many bars then stand crooked and sag in the middle.

With all foldable base frames (G-Flexx/G-Flexx Mini) we install small spirit levels on the aluminum tubes below. With the help of the height-adjustable feet, you can compensate for unevenness and align your bar perfectly.

Pair LED-RGB lighting with remote control

The handheld transmitter has four channels. One channel can be coupled with up to four RGB light strips. In this way, four RGB light strips can be controlled simultaneously.

Establish connection

  • Turn the remote control "ON"

  • Connect the first RGB light strip to the power supply

  • Within three seconds: Select a channel and press "Channel ON" until the RGB light bar starts flashing. The connection is now established.

  • Repeat the process to pair additional RGB light strips on the same channel

Drawer rails do not fit

It is often quite hectic, especially when dismantling a mobile bar. If a drawer rail is pulled out of the groove somewhat carelessly or at an unfavorable angle, the small metal plate at the end can easily bend.

If the rail does not fit during assembly, first check whether the metal plate protrudes at a right angle from the rail. If it does not, place the rail vertically on the floor and bend the plate with little force until the right angle is restored.

If this procedure does not solve the problem, please contact our team. Together we will find a solution. For general questions about the installation of the drawers, please refer to pages 12-14 of the assembly instructions below.

Light strips shine with different intensity

It cannot be ruled out that LEDs lose a small amount of power over the years.

For orders that are several years apart, there may therefore be slight deviations in color intensity and radiance, especially with RGB LEDs.

How to solve the problem?

The LED strips mounted on the angle plates can be replaced 1:1. Depending on the production year of your light strip, you will also need a more up-to-date control unit.

It is possible to exchange whole lightbars with rails or only the LED strips and control units on the rails. We can send you the components individually and prepared for revision - but the exchange should be done by an electrician.

You are also welcome to send us the complete rail and we will replace the components for you.

Have questions about the remote control or not sure how to pair your RGB light bars with the remote? Have a look at the following article or contact our team. We are happy to help you.

Screws jam / cannot be screwed in

In stress and hectic situations, it sometimes happens that the knurled or wing screws are not turned straight into the threaded bushes. The first impulse is then to simply apply more force and turn the screw in "somehow".

Unfortunately, the installed threaded bushings do not like this at all and bend, which is hardly visible to the naked eye. As a result, it becomes more difficult from insert to insert to connect the parts together.

How to solve the problem?

With the help of a thread cutter, the defective thread can be recut with little effort. Taps are available for less than €10 in any standard hardware store.

  • M10-tap = for the threads of the height-adjustable feet

  • M6-tap = for all other threaded bushings in the G-Rack system

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

G-Flexx and G-Raxx are not on the same level

Due to the design, there is a height difference of 10 mm between the G-Raxx and G-Flexx base frames. This height difference can be easily compensated by unscrewing the adjustable feet on the foldable base frames by about 10 mm.

The following picture shows a combination of the base frames. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Cladding panels collide with each other

If the cladding panels bump against each other, this can have various reasons. First, please check the surface of the installation site and assess whether the bar was installed on a flat or uneven surface.

Your mobile bar is placed on a ...

flat surface

Check that all height-adjustable feet are in the same position. On a flat surface, you can turn the feet all the way in.

uneven surface

The bar allows it, but you should align the bar once to ensure a good fit. With the help of the small spirit levels and the height-adjustable feet, you can align the bar in just a few steps.
